Here are the tables for the rankings of Canada’s fastest growing software/ICT/tech centres, as discussed on episode 23. They go in the same order as they were discussed on the show, starting with rankings by industry sector, then rankings by occupation. A good part of the show is spent discussing caveats and all the behind-the-curtain decisions that go in to these kind of rankings. So I’d recommend listening to the show along with looking at the lists … and realize that often won’t happen.

All of the rankings involving growth rates are just simple comparisons of the number from the 2011 National Household Survey and the 2016 Census for each area. If you wanted to do a more thorough and accurate job (i.e. if someone was paying you to do it, or you had a lot of spare time) you would revise the 2011 numbers as best you could using the 2016 boundaries. Even then, I don’t think you could get them exactly the same in many cases, based on the information available, but you could improve on what’s here.
For example, Wilmot was added to the Kitchener-Cambridge-Waterloo CMA for the 2016 Census, so that by itself should lead to 3-6% growth in the KCW numbers for 2016. This is only an issue for the growth rates. The concentration rankings don’t make use of 2011 numbers.
